Read what the gnome says
Revolved Triangle with a block! Stand with legs staggered, hinge forward, and place the opposite hand on a block. Twist the chest open and reach the other arm up. Hips square. Breathe, then switch. Spiral gnome.
Works on Hamstrings · Obliques · Spinal rotators
How to do it
- Step the feet about one leg-length apart, hips square.
- Hinge forward, place a block beside the foot and twist the chest open.
- Reach the top arm up and hold, both legs strong; switch sides.
Common mistakes
- Don’t lock the front knee.
- Don’t force the twist by rolling the hips.
- Don’t crunch the neck.
Benefits
- Gently mobilises the spine.
- Stretches the back, hips and shoulders.
- Leaves the back feeling fresh and long.
Take care: Go easy or skip if you have back or neck pain, or are pregnant. Twist from the whole spine, not by cranking the neck or lower back.
Not medical advice. Ease off if anything feels sharp or wrong.
