Reclined Foot Behind the Head! Lie on your back, take one leg toward the shoulder, and place the foot behind the head. Keep the neck relaxed, other leg long and pressing down. Warm up the hips. Never force. Breathe, then switch. Patient gnome.

Works on Hip rotators · Hamstrings · Hip flexors

How to do it

  1. Warm up the hips well, then lie on the back and hug one knee in.
  2. Ease the foot of that leg behind the head with the help of the hands.
  3. Relax the neck and shoulders, keep the other leg long and breathe; release and switch sides.

Common mistakes

  • Don’t attempt it with cold hips or hamstrings.
  • Don’t force the foot behind the head.
  • Don’t strain the neck.

Benefits

  • Releases tight hips and outer thighs.
  • Eases stiffness from sitting and walking.
  • A calm, grounding shape to breathe in.

Take care: Go easy or skip if you have knee or hip pain. Support the knees with a cushion or block and stop if you feel sharp pain.

Not medical advice. Ease off if anything feels sharp or wrong.
