Supported Child's Pose! Kneel and fold forward over a bolster, head turned to one side. Knees wide, arms around the bolster. Breathe slowly into the back. Switch the head halfway. Cozy gnome.
Works on Lower back · Hips · Thighs
How to do it
- Kneel with the knees wide and place a bolster lengthwise between them.
- Fold forward over the bolster and rest the cheek on it.
- Let the arms hang or hug the bolster and breathe slowly; stay a few minutes.
Common mistakes
- Don’t strain the neck: turn the head to the other side halfway.
- Don’t force the hips to the heels: use a cushion.
- Don’t hold the breath.
Benefits
- Lets the body rest and the breath slow down.
- Eases tension and tiredness.
- A good way to end a practice.
Take care: Use cushions or blankets so nothing strains. Come out slowly if you feel lightheaded.
Not medical advice. Ease off if anything feels sharp or wrong.
